    "note": "Named twice in the narrative: as one of the commercial and mixed-use buildings at the north-east corner of 18th and Sanchez Streets that survived the 1906 earthquake and fire west of Dolores Street, and as an early instance of the multi-unit apartment building in a neighbourhood where the type did not become significant until after 1906. Found eligible under Criterion C/3 (Architecture); with further analysis the property may also qualify under Criterion A/1 (Events) for its association with the reconstruction that followed the 1906 earthquake and fire. The survey's DPR forms are drafts — the California Office of Historic Preservation declined in 2013 to enter the survey's 2010 findings in the State Historic Resources Inventory."
