The finding is the San Francisco Planning Department's, from its own survey of the parcels west of Lippard Avenue and inside the neighborhood commercial zoning, which this evaluation reprints. Built as a saloon in the early 1890s — the assessor dates it to 1904 — and one of only two buildings the 1899–1900 Sanborn maps show at Chenery and Diamond, the intersection that became the neighborhood's commercial core. Its tank house and stables have been demolished. A photograph caption gives the address as 107 Chenery Street. The evaluation examined the commercial core at Diamond and Chenery as a potential historic district and found it did not qualify; the city's current record puts this parcel in the California Register-eligible Glen Park Center Historic District.
