   The Psychedelic Shop opened in the left-hand storefront here in January 1966 on $500 of savings, selling paraphernalia, amulets, Indian bedspreads and books. It was raided by police later that year over a poetry collection, and hosted a mime and dance performance as one of the Trips Festival's after-hours side trips.
