112 Lyon Street
Haight Ashbury · San Francisco, CA 94117
An eleven-room house with a single bathroom, five doors down from 122 Lyon and inside the same two historic districts. A published guide to notable residences offers it as the alternative Janis Joplin address — its own weaker claim.
Permit history
Five permits between 1987 and 1991, and nothing in the thirty-five years since. Three of the five are the same job filed again: a horizontal addition enclosing part of the rear-yard deck, lodged in August 1990, again in April 1991, and again that July. All three expired, the estimate falling from $45,000 to $11,147 along the way.

Not yet documented: the architect, builder and original permit; whether the rear addition was ever built after the three permits lapsed; and any basis for the Joplin claim, which the source itself offers only as an alternative to 122 Lyon Street. Know any of it? Tell us — just describe it in plain words.
