1800–1890 Chestnut Street

1. 1924

   A recreation centre opened here in 1924 on the ground of Lobos Square — the 1906 refugee camp that had become a city park — first as the Funston Recreation Center, later Funston Playground, and today the George R. Moscone Recreation Center. It is a contributing building to the California Register-eligible discontiguous Midcentury Recreation Historic District.
