Criterion C: the survey's proposed district for the northern Mission's rebuilding after the 1906 earthquake and fire, period of significance May 1906–1913, predominantly Classical Revival, Edwardian and Mission Revival in wood frame construction. Contributor to the Inner Mission Commercial Corridor locally significant area (3117 16th). Formerly called the 16th Street Commercial Corridor. Criterion C: San Francisco's largest concentration of residential-over-commercial and small-scale commercial buildings, spanning both pre-1906 and post-disaster construction, dated c. 1870s–1931. Named among the survey's properties of individual significance (Roxie Cinema). Named in the survey's Mission Historic Entertainment theme as the Roxie Cinema, covering public entertainment structures on 16th Street and on Mission Street from 16th to 25th Streets.
