Recorded in the city's survey of the Van Ness Avenue automobile corridor as Goodyear Tire, 1917–1923; outside the survey boundaries. Designed by MacDonald and Kahn.

A four-storey reinforced concrete loft building, cited with the S. C. Johnson floor wax building as one of the more substantial industrial buildings put up once the city accepted reinforced concrete for Class A structures in December 1909.
