Recorded in the city's survey of the Van Ness Avenue automobile corridor as built for use as a garage, auto repair shop 1, 3. The survey dates the work to 1909–1910. Designed by Ward and Blohme as a private garage; it became the Alaska Garage, a public garage, in 1913. Brick-built, with a symmetrical façade.
