Micro-units, and the art that came with them

The building was the city's first with micro-units — 120 of its 160 flats as small as 274 square feet. A construction cost of $19,225,000 obliged at least $192,250 of public art under the 1% programme; Ken Kalman's Urban Currents, commissioned for about $379,860, runs up the south face from the sixth floor to the eleventh on spindles built to turn in the wind.
