1. 1907

   Assembled out of two of the relief cottages the Red Cross put up after the earthquake and then sold off for removal to private lots — the confirmed example of a practice that shaped a number of houses out here. Nels Hagerup, the Norwegian-born stevedore and painter it is named for, built it.
