    The first store and grocery in the Parkside opened here. The hall on the second floor — “Williams Hall” — was the district's meeting place into the 1920s, an auditorium with a gymnasium attached that held dances, costume parties, classes, talent shows and the monthly meetings of the Parkside District Improvement Club. The hall was later turned into a residence.
