   Built as the Mendel Apartments, apartment building with 70 2-room units, to the design of the architect Frederick H. Meyer. Six storeys over a basement, reinforced brick structure, three-part vertical composition, Renaissance/Baroque ornamentation.

2. 1918

   Designed by Grace Jewett, a Pratt-trained architect who came to San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and later worked as a city architect — one of very few women practising architecture in the city in these years.
