Lundstrom Hat Works

1. 1908

   Built in 1908 as the Lundstrom Hat Works, a masonry commercial building with a symmetrical front, a decorative mezzanine window since lost, cornice mutules and brackets, and orbs mounted on the parapet, one of them gone. It is recorded in the California Historical Resources Information System as 3D, eligible for the National Register as a district contributor.

2. 1979

   The historians Philip Choy and Christopher Yip recorded the building in 1979 for the Chinatown historic district survey, using the State Office of Historic Preservation's recordation standards; their form calls it an increasingly rare example of post-earthquake design.
