The Sylvester House was built. It stands among the Victorian-era dwellings that survive here in numbers because the 1906 earthquake and fire did comparatively little damage in South San Francisco, and was one of the handful of buildings in the district recorded in Here Today, the 1968 San Francisco Junior League survey that was the city's first.
