1906
New Era Hall was completed seven months after the earthquake, a speculative development with shops below and meeting rooms above that were let to fraternal organisations burnt out of their own halls.

July 5, 1906
Building permit No. 1292 was filed for a wood-frame hall 50 feet wide, 92½ feet deep and 40 feet tall, built without a basement and roofed over its lodge rooms with Howe trusses.

November 18, 1906
New Era Hall opened, with two storefronts at 2117 and 2123 and lodge rooms upstairs reached from 2121; the German Hermann Lodge took rooms on opening day.

1907–1914
The upstairs lodge rooms hosted regular meetings of fraternal groups including the Order of Scottish Clans, Order of the Eastern Star, Knights of Pythias, Woodmen of the World, Odd Fellows, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Foresters of America and Native Daughters of the Golden West.

The western storefront, first a restaurant, was altered into the Majestic Nickelodeon, with an exit door cut into the side passage.

May 1909
The nickelodeon closed and the western storefront was rebuilt to its original design; until 1917 it held a millinery shop run by Hermana Bennett, wife of the building's owner.

August 6, 1910
On 18 April 1910, the fourth anniversary of the fire, delegates of 50 improvement clubs and civic bodies packed New Era Hall to found the Twin Peaks Tunnel convention.

August 20, 1910
The Twin Peaks Tunnel and Improvement convention met at New Era Hall here on 19 August 1910 and received its committee's plan for a tunnel of about 7,200 feet under Twin Peaks.

1911
The Visalia Stock Saddle Company, a pioneer Mexican-American saddlery that developed the western saddle, moved its entire saddle-making works and salesroom into the eastern storefront from 2283 Market Street; it made its custom saddles here until 1953.

October 1919
The Visalia Stock Saddle Company expanded into the western storefront and became the building's only commercial tenant.

1920
The Christian Philosophical Institute, a sect founded by Wilbert LeRoy Cosper, moved its headquarters upstairs, split Lodge Room No. 2 into offices and cut the center window into the Market Street facade.

1929
A fire on the ground floor damaged floor joists and siding; the same year the saddle company added windows on the west wall, opened doors between the two storefronts and installed a motor-driven band saw, cross-cut saw and lathe.

1931–1932
The hall was renamed Liberty Hall for two years, taking the name of a hall for hire formerly on Mission Street.

1953
The Visalia Stock Saddle Company left New Era Hall for Sacramento, ending 42 years of saddle-making here.

Both lodge rooms were converted into a dance studio, the Academy of Ballet, which still occupied them in 2018.

1954
George E. Bennett, son of the original owner, sold New Era Hall to the Open Bible Church next door, which in 1956 opened one storefront as a servicemen's center.

The western storefront received its present metal-frame storefront and doors.

2002
The two storefronts were joined into one space, the eastern floor raised to the western level and the partitions and mezzanines removed.
