A runaway balloon came down on the fence
A captive balloon broke loose from the Midwinter International Exposition in Golden Gate Park, drifted over Corbett Road and came down on the fence between this corner house and its neighbour. Three policemen were needed to settle which of the two households had caught it; the balloon was awarded here and the parachute next door.
