Duboce Triangle Historic Context Statement (2022)

StyleClassical Revival

One of a row of four almost identical three-family flats built in 1905, running 229–231 to 247–251 Noe Street, with bay windows, entry porticos and flat roofs. The statement describes the row as no-frills housing for blue-collar and lower-level white-collar workers, and as one of the few groups of Market Street flats from the 1905 Sanborn maps to survive. Christopher VerPlanck's context statement of 2022 surveyed 552 properties in Duboce Triangle for the Duboce Triangle Neighborhood Association.
