Roosevelt & Henry Stairs

The City deeded small portions of this lot, beside their garages, to three adjoining lots fronting 15th Street, with shared access easements.

The lot was an unbuilt, city-owned fill slope of about 14,000 square feet, with a public stairway descending through it from Roosevelt Way to the dead end of Henry Street. The City Planning Commission recommended that the City grant the neighbouring lot an access easement and a small parcel of this city-owned slope, on condition that nothing be built or fenced on it, and keep the rest of the lot in public ownership for slope and view protection along Roosevelt Way.
