Named among the neighbourhood's historic school buildings and described as eclectic — Classical in the Corinthian columns carrying the façade's arcade, Moorish in the tile work, Spanish Revival overall. It and Sanchez Elementary School replaced the earlier Everett Elementary on Sanchez Street in the 1920s.
