Danvers Street

Danvers runs down the east side of Corbett Heights to Market Street. The corner it once met — 18th Street, Danvers and Falcon — no longer exists: the Market Street extension took Falcon Street, the grocery and saloon that stood on it, and most of the buildings around them.

Streetcar reached Merritt1909

A photograph dated 1909 records the intersection: Horner's store on the corner, 328 Corbett on the hill behind it, and the tracks of the 18th Street line of the San Francisco and San Mateo Railway under construction — the line was extended from Douglass Street to Merritt that year. Later photographs of the same spot show the extension cut through it, and one building on 18th at Danvers reduced to a triangle.
