Marine Fireman's Union Hall

1. 1956

   The hall of the Marine Firemen, Oilers and Watertenders and Wipers Association was built in 1956, one of a group of maritime union buildings on Rincon Hill. The Planning Department proposed it for City landmark designation in the draft Transit Center District Plan of 2009.

2. 1957

   Built as the Marine Fireman's Union hall, with murals by Lucienne Bloch and Stephen Poe Dimitroff. The Transit Center District Plan historic survey found it eligible for the National Register for its associations with San Francisco's labour movement and for its architecture.
