Howard/26th Street Cottages

1. 1902

   Built by TB Potter Realty Company.

2. 1905

   The TB Potter Realty Company — Thomas B. Potter, developer of the Reis Tract in Visitacion Valley, and his brother-in-law George B. Campbell — built sixteen attached Craftsman bungalows on the corner of Howard Street (now South Van Ness) and 26th Street, among the first Craftsman houses in the city; the architect is unknown. The lots had been part of the tract of the Pioneer Race Course of 1850, and later belonged to Andrew Kohler of Kohler & Chase.
