Contributor to the Inner Mission Commercial Corridor locally significant area (638-642 South Van Ness Avenue). Formerly called the 16th Street Commercial Corridor. Criterion C: San Francisco's largest concentration of residential-over-commercial and small-scale commercial buildings, spanning both pre-1906 and post-disaster construction, dated c. 1870s–1931.
