1. 1970

   San Francisco's first Metropolitan Community Church meeting was held in Jackson's Bar and Grill at this address, two years after the church for lesbians and gays began in Los Angeles. The congregation moved through a series of borrowed rooms before buying 150 Eureka Street in 1980.
