The report's property-type chapter uses this house to illustrate the five-room-over-garage plan — the "Full Five" and the smaller "Junior Five" — designed to Federal Housing Administration guidelines and put up as infill across San Francisco from the late 1930s to the mid-1950s: a plain stucco front with Moderne trim, a built-in garage, a recessed "tunnel" entrance and a false parapet roof. The survey recorded every building in its area built in or before 1962 on a Primary Record, and evaluated the pre-1939 ones on Building, Structure and Object Records; a Primary Record carries no status code and no eligibility finding.
