The Norwegian-born ship builder Ingeborg Jorgenson built the bungalow for a daughter and her husband, the shipwright Fred Siemer of the yard Siemer & Bruer & Co. The house held one of the oldest boat-building families of India Basin, on a lot generous enough to recall the semi-rural conditions that once prevailed at Hunters Point.

A one-and-a-half-story bungalow midway up a heavily planted bank, with a broad side-facing gable, a porch the width of the front on paired round columns and sculpted brackets, and a Craftsman oak door. The survey takes it for a Sears and Roebuck mail-order bungalow, Modern Home No. 264p234, "The Hollywood", and calls that a rare thing in San Francisco. The report's narrative dates the house to 1920; its inventory form, its building record and the assessor's roll all give 1917.
