The statement calls it undoubtedly the most architecturally significant apartment building in the neighborhood: a corner turret and unusual triangular oriels, and — unusually for an apartment building — several entrances off its front porch. It reads those separate entrances as a sign the building was put up for women, likely nurses at the German Hospital across the street, at a time when a common entrance was considered improper. It dates the building Ca. 1890 in one passage and Ca. 1895 in its landmark list. One of the properties the statement puts forward as a potential city landmark candidate, a list it calls 37 properties in one passage and 38 in another and prints with 38 entries; it says further research will be required to confirm any of them. Christopher VerPlanck's context statement of 2022 surveyed 552 properties in Duboce Triangle for the Duboce Triangle Neighborhood Association. Dates it gives as “Ca.” are its own estimates.
