    Completed as the A. Carlisle & Company printing and lithography building, with a central vertical shaft inset with glass blocks breaking up continuous ribbons of horizontal windows. The 1976 Department of City Planning Architectural Survey noted its 'powerful Moderne imagery'; a superb example of industrial Art Moderne design, it was put forward for San Francisco Landmark designation.
