1485 Bay Shore Boulevard

1. 1927

   Built as the L & E. Emanuel Inc. store fixture factory complex, a large three-storey concrete industrial building on an L plan. It stands in the Hudson Tract, farmland still cultivated in vegetable gardens on the 1914 Sanborn maps, subdivided for industry from about 1915 and built out in the 1930s.

2. March 30, 1972

   The building at 1485 Bayshore Boulevard stood on land first developed for industry and still zoned industrial, and it had been converted to office use.
