425 Mission Street

1. 1939

   Built as the Transbay Terminal to designs by Timothy Pflueger and Arthur Brown Jr., linked to the new Bay Bridge by a looping concrete viaduct that carried Key System trains into downtown. It was planned for 35 million passengers a year and handled 26 million at its wartime peak.
