A historic resource review by Page & Turnbull in 2026 found the building eligible for the California Register as an example of Late Modernist and Brutalist architecture, describing an inverted ziggurat of board-form concrete alternating with red brick veneer over waffled concrete soffits, and treating the sunken plaza, the entrance bridge and the seating as one composition with the building. The site is under an option agreement; the proposal is for two towers of 47 storeys in its place.
