   The Folger Building stood on the site. The City Planning Commission approved, with conditions, a 165-car garage on two basement levels of a proposed 17-storey office addition to the Folger Building, entered from Spear Street.

   The Folger Building Addition, a high-rise office building, was under construction on the corner. The City Planning Commission approved revised plans adding mezzanine, storage and penthouse office space to the Folger Building Addition, making it 271 feet 2 inches high.
