1. 1906

   Built by the Western Pacific Railway as one of the corrugated steel structures the railroads put up cheaply for new tenants after the earthquake; designed by the company's chief engineer V. G. Bogue and built by Thomas H. Day & Sons. Long the home of the Union Machine Shop, and the only one of these buildings known to survive in the survey area.
