160 King Street

1. 1887

   The site was first developed in 1887 by the Pacific Oil and Lead Works, which made linseed and coconut oils for the paint trade. The ground now carries an office building of 2002.

2. 1946

   A three-storey reinforced concrete building of 61,525 square feet, about forty feet to the parapet, put up in 1946 as a food supply depot for the U.S. Navy. It was cleared for the office building of 2002.

3. 1984

   The Hearst Publishing Company used the building as a printing plant until at least 1984, after which design firms and a garment assembly shop took it over. The building was cleared for the office building of 2002.
