Henry P. "Pop" Anderson, a Danish boat builder, bought this lot with its shop building and office from Johnson J. Dircks, along with Dircks's boat yard on three leased waterfront lots.

A 25-by-75-foot lot holding the two oldest purpose-built boat-yard buildings on the site. What reads as one board-and-batten building is two structures, built in the 1890s and standing on the 1899–1900 Sanborn map — a tool shed and engine house, and at its east end a water-tank house whose tank armature stood until 2005. East of them is a wood-frame ship's pilot house taken off a boat about 1930 and turned into the yard office. The district record dates the yard's period of significance from the building of this structure, which it addresses as 900A Innes Avenue.
