Albert Pissis's Anglo and London Paris National Bank of 1910 stands within the tower, its granite front carrying 38-foot Doric columns; its banking hall is the atrium the public open space occupies. The bronze Star Maiden in it is a 1985 cast of a figure Alexander Stirling Calder made for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, commissioned with the permission of the sculptor's daughter Margaret Calder Hayes.
