Adjacent neighborhoods
The island touches no neighborhood by land. The city's Analysis Neighborhoods boundary file gives it one neighbour, Bayview Hunters Point, across open water to the south; the only ground route on or off is the Bay Bridge, which reaches the city at South of Market and Alameda County the other way.
