   Built as the California Savings Bank to designs by the architect Ward Thomas, and photographed new in 1956: an open front, an open-plan interior, opaque spandrel panels, a projecting box overhang, a blade sign and floated lighting ceilings made of 50-foot plastic fixtures fitted with fluorescent tubes.
