The Western Addition adjoins north-west and the Tenderloin east across Van Ness Avenue. The Mission begins south-east over Market Street, the Castro further west along it, Haight Ashbury west past Divisadero Street, and Lone Mountain / USF north-west beyond the Panhandle.
